34 Weeks Preggers

Time has flown and the Bean's arrival is SO soon!  I am thrilled and terrified all at the same time!

What the Bean is doing:

In the past few weeks, he has been a jumping Bean.  It's fun to feel his every move (except when he pokes my ribs)!  I keep thinking that I will miss it a bit when he's here.

How I'm feeling:

In just the past week, I have gotten to the point where I just feel huge.  A few weeks ago my friend said that she felt like a whale, and honestly, that's the best way to describe it.  But, my husband continues to tell me that I'm beautiful and says all the right things.  Yep, he's amazing.

How Daddy is feeling:

The hubby can't wait for the Bean to arrive.  Even though I feel large and in-charge, I still have some things to cross of the list for grad school before I will be ready for him to get here, but hubs keeps asking when the Bean's going get here.  It's very endearing.  What a great dad already, huh?

Nursery update:

In progress.  I think we have all the pieces we need, but the snow that has come through has hindered progress on finishing and setting up the crib.  Then the dresser and toy box need painted, but those should not take nearly as long as the crib with all its details and 'accents' that my husband added.  Then I will finally be able to start organizing clothes and such!

We are attending a childbirth class at our hospital this weekend, so I'm hoping to get all the details of what they allow/provide, so that I can get the hospital bag all packed.  I'm still trying to figure out a list that balances what would be nice to have with what we actually need and can remember.

Other Prep:

Last Sunday, I got to go 'shopping' at my friend's house who is done having children and is ready to purge all of her baby stuff.  And she wanted to give it to me!  How incredibly generous she is and how incredibly blessed we are to have such an amazing friend!  I came home with an entire car load.  Tons of baby clothes from newborn to 9 months, a bouncer, a walker, a bathtub, toys, a travel bottle warmer, shoes, socks, a cart cover, and so much more!  I also bought her highchair for a mere $20.  Combining that haul with our baby shower last week, our foyer is almost full of baby paraphernalia.  Once the nursery is closer to done, we will be ready to find homes for everything!
